Cara Geswelli shares on her Instagram Story that she has joined her Siesta Key castmates in Miami, where they seem to have begun filming season 5.
Cara Geswelli headed to Miami, where her fellow Siesta Key castmates recently moved. The MTV reality series began in 2017, and the beachside neighborhood has been the show's backdrop for four seasons. The cast has grown a lot through the years, and as they move on from the same old drama they've experienced in their hometown since high school, it seems they might be leaving the town behind and heading to Miami. The show has followed Juliette Porter's relationship drama with Alex Kompothecras, Robby Hayes and Sam Logan. However, the star is now dating Miami native Clark Drum and has focused most of her attention on her swimsuit company JMP The Label.
Fans of Siesta Key began speculating there may be a change of location back in April when Brandon Gomes tweeted that he was moving to Miami, and many of his castmates replied that they'd be joining him. Juliette later confirmed she was moving to the city, and Sam, Jordana Barnes and Kelsey Owens have also made it clear on social media they've made the switch. Siesta Key season 4b made it clear that the show's stars were outgrowing their hometown and were ready to move forward in their career endeavors elsewhere.
It seems Cara is also leaving Siesta Key behind, as her recent Instagram Story suggests she's joining her castmates in Miami. Cara shared a photo of herself driving down the road, suggesting she was heading out of her hometown. She captioned the photo, "And so it begins... ==> MIA." Fans posted the Instagram Story on Reddit and shared their opinions on Cara appearing in Siesta Key season 5. User Accurate_Tomato56 wrote, "She's interesting and unfiltered. She plays her part well. I'm excited to see Cara back."
Cara joined the show as another one of Alex's past flings but quickly formed a bond with Garrett Miller, who sadly won't be returning for Siesta Key season 5. The two had a pretty unhappy relationship, with Garrett feeling disrespected and unappreciated most of the time. Cara also had a feud with Kelsey, who dated Garrett in the past, but the two have since become close friends. Cara left the show after getting into a fight with Alex after he told her Chloe Trautman was spreading rumors that she cheated on Garrett with her ex-boyfriend. However, Cara came back during season 4a to join the cast on an island getaway and has continued to appear on Siesta Key ever since.
Fans have some mixed opinions on Cara as the star hasn't always been so nice to her Siesta Key castmates. Luckily, there are also plenty of fans who are excited about her return. With her moving to Miami, it's becoming impossible to believe the show can stay in Siesta Key. However, after four seasons, a change in location may be exactly what Siesta Key needs to keep it fresh and exciting for fans.
